Octopus Sculpture - 2008
This octopus was a commission by Lat 43 Restaurant in Gloucester Ma. It’s about 8’ across and is made of stainless steel. I especially like this one because each of the tentacles reminds me of dragon tails. Dragons are a personal favorite. The glass was done at a glass studio at MIT in Boston. It’s the first time I worked with another medium other than metal. I think the glass and metal work well together. The octopus hangs above a sushi bar and has a light inside the head. I guess you could call it a chandelier.
