Bald Eagle Scul;pture

This shot of the eagle was during the third week of construction. In this shot, each piece is being welded firmly to one another. Initially all the pieces are cut and generally assembled until the final approval of shape and then bronze rods are welded (melted) into the crevices and seams.

After this final welding step, the piece is extremely strong
and is ready to hold the enormous wings.

We set up staging to walk on while we worked. It was three more weeks of work at this point and it was about 95 to 105 in the shade.

Tree Frog Sculpture

Here, the tree frog was getting a bath in some bronze patina. The color was too strong at first but after some hand work with a brass brush and a few good rain storms, the color was just right. I usually don't add patinas to my pieces but this one with the glass eyes already had his own colorful direction.

Your comments are always welcome.
