The artistic process is a journey where molding metal by hand reveals its potential.  I believe experimenting is the key to great discovery.

Each process in the studio of heating, welding or forming metal brings out shapes and textures. When I begin to think about something to create it always begins with the techniques that I’ve learned to help bring out the life in each piece.

In the development of each sculpture, new ideas emerge and the piece goes beyond its original composition.  I’m always looking for these new pathways and to grow as I create the work.  Discovery is in the process.

Each piece has a life force of its own.  When my sculptures begin to look back at me, I know that I’m reaching my goals.
