BRONZE DRAGON Sculpture

Bronze Dragon

One of the most sought-after and collected pieces I create are the dragons. In 1998 the first dragon was created for a wine cellar in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Since then the request for more dragons has been steady. As these dragons were born, the impact they’ve made on my work has been one of endless discovery. A true catalyst for creative energy.

Incredible details are hiding in plain sight as this bronze dragon clutches the tree with clawed feet. His wings are made of blacksmith forged feathers influenced by the American Bald Eagle. The wingspan reaches 5’ across creating an ominous visual canopy. Protective scales layer his body as he turns to see who approaches. With a bird’s eye perspective, this piece stands 7’ tall and is anchored to a formidable chunk of Cape Ann granite.

When creating this piece I envisioned him guarding a special garden or a sentinel at the entry of an estate. But I’m always excited to see the homes that my work is brought to. The vision of my clients gives me a new perspective. This piece would look great as part of a water pond feature. So many possibilities. If you have a home that needs protection, let this dragon stand guard for you.

We hope to release this magical creature on its journey home. Please let us know if you need any additional information. We are always eager to talk with other dragon lovers.
